Temecula CA Retired Married 2
My husband, John, and I retired to San Diego 7 years ago, leaving Lake Minnetonka to live aboard a boat on  Shelter Island.  A great experience.  We are now living "on land"  in Temecula, California.   Love the warm southern California weather.  Always looking for visitors.
Can't believe it will be 50 years.  "Time flies" is certainly true.
Best to All.

Shorewood MN Engineer/Business Owner Married 4 YES
The quick and simple version:  I got an engineering degree from the U of MN and then several years in the service.  I Worked for a while after that as a development engineer with the Feds, NOAA, to be exact.  In 1978 I started a consulting engineering firm here in the Minneapolis area praticing mostly in the field of Forensic Engineering.  We've grown a bunch over the years, now with multiple offices, investigating fires, explosions, things that fall down or go bump in the night.  And I'm still employed by the firm.  No retirement yet.  Ah, well.
The true love of my life, Roxann, showed up a couple of decades ago and we each brought two children to the mix.  We now have two Grandchildren, deepening the mystery and the romance of life.
Perspective:  Grattitude to the faculty and all of you for providing a fertile starting ground for all that's followed.

Litchfield MN Married 3
After graduation attended Northwestern Institute of Electronics
Eligible for draft never drafted
Planned on working for Federal Electric on the Dew Line radars up on the arctic circle.  would be up there months at a time.  Was fine with me.
That fell through when I fell in love.
Got married.  After first child moved to Litchfield
Started a small business in Litchfield.  Automatic machining,  metal stamping and forming.
Spent the 1980's racing stock cars for fun.  Did well.  Expensive.
Bought a 35 foot cruiser and kept it on Lake Superior.  Took the kids up there weekends. Like having a lake cabin except you're in a different place every week.  Also took two week vacations in summer and took the family all over the big lake,  mostly in the areas where there is truly nobody.  Canadian side.
Learned to fly in early '70s.  Rented planes sometimes.  Later bought my own and usually flew up to the boat.  Took the kids to Florida a couple times with that too.
Sold the building where my business was located in July 2015.  Had an online auction,  sold off almost all the machinery and equipment.  Was out of it for good on Oct. 1,  2015.   Built a smaller building at my home in rural Litchfield where I still do a couple of jobs that repeat,  don't require a lot of machinery and are easy to do but earn a few bucks.  That's where things stand today.   Going to pack up the wife and head out on a road trip in April.   Plan to explore the length of historic Route 66 all the way to the Pacific Ocean.  From there up Hwy. 1 on the coast to Washington,  then home through the northern tier of states.   Should be pretty happy to get home again after that.   See y'all at the reunion if I make it back in one piece.   Sorry no photo's.   Too much bother. With no racing and no flying or boating, I spend my free time helping #1 son with his two businesses. one building race engines - bad ass stuff - and helping him out when he's behind in his other business, an auto repair shop in West Fargo, ND. BIG hobby - I have been heavily involved with a rail excursion group that runs trips on the class 1 railroads with a large LARGE steam locomotive. I'm one of the engine crew, fireman on the engine, but everyone does whatever is required. Good group. Been lots of places around the country I'd never have seen without travelling via riding behind ancient steam locomotive with a plush train with paying happy passengers. I go there, (THERE is N.E. Mpls.) about once or twice a week and spend the day on maintenance on the big beast. Gotta' get 'er ready for the coming summer!! Mark D.

Lakeland FL Retired Single Again 6
No one has posted in a while so thought I would. I finally broke down and turned into a true snowbird. Bought a house in Lakeland, Florida on September 1st. Moved in on September 3rd. Tried to buy home insurance on September 4th but no one was selling. Hit by Hurricane Irma on September 5th. House survived but power was off so went to be with daughter in Alexandria, Minnesota for a couple of weeks. Returning to Florida this week to try it again. Look forward to seeing classmates again for our 70th birthdays.
Continued in school throughout career. Served in the military for 27 years around the globe including assignments with Army Special Forces. Served as both enlisted and officer and finished as a Chaplain. Retired from military in May of 2000 and began teaching at a couple of colleges, one on each coast. My siblings and I changed our last name from Dickey (an adopted name) to Steele (our original family name) in 1987. Hope to see many at the reunion.

Dublin NOT IN US OR CANADA homemaker Married 6
Just before graduation in June 1966--in fact on May 20th--I had the most life changing and direction altering experience of my life.  It was after many challenging discussions with our classmate Lynda (Paulson) Blake that I decided to accept the forgiveness and salvation offered to me by Jesus and to serve Him as Lord wherever He might lead.  Although I continued in my plans to attend the University of Wisconsin, my intentions in life were completely changed. After two years, another drastic situation arose, again with Lynda involved.  She introduced me to Mickey Walker.  He also shares my faith and desire to serve the Lord so we got married! As Mickey has a much more adventerous spirit than I do, we ended up leaving the U.S. in 1969 to share the Gospel in Nepal, India, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran, and for five years on board two different Christian mission ships. We finally settled in Ireland in 1984 and raised our six children who were born along the way. They are all married now and we have eighteen grandchildren.  I'm an old granny and hope you classmates from 1966 look just as old and fat as I do.  See you in September! Hi Everyone,
Great to read all of the notes!
I was remarried in 1992. We have a blended family with 4 kids and 2 granddaughters. We also have an amazing English Golden and have raised two guide dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Once (if ever) retired we will do so again.
I manage relocation operations in Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil. (Highschool Spanish didn't stick unfortunately). Until the end of last year I managed groups in Germany, Luxembourg, and the UK.
Because of work I have now lived in Connecticut, California, Illinois (2Xs), Wisconsin, and Arizona (2Xs). We moved to Arizona about 5 years ago to be close to our three girls. Our son still lives in Minneapolis.
Thanks to the reunion committee for all of the hard work!
Vbest, Sue
