Washington DC Lawyer Married 4
I spent my senior year at Hopkins.  Though 50 years late, thanks to all of you for making me feel welcomed during that year.  I left Minnesota in September after graduating.  With the exception of some short visits I have not been back since.

From 1966 to 1970, I attended the University of Denver.   In 1971, I gave up my job as a management trainee paying 350,00 per month in a Denver Bank. I took a job with the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center in Houston Texas as a counsellor trying to rehabilitate juvenile delinquents. While there, I attended law school at night.  In  1974 I took and passed the Texas Bar.  That same year I was honored to be commissioned into the Marine Corps as a JAG attorney.  One hundred or so Courts-martial later I was offered a job as a drug prosecutor with the Justice Department.  Starting in 1978, I lived out of a suitcase travelling around the country prosecuting bad guys – often in South Florida.  As you might expect the travel took its toll on my personal life.

By 1983 I found myself a single parent and no longer able to travel – a blessing in disguise.  I left Justice to start my own law practice in Washington, D.C. doing primarily criminal defense.  In 1984 I met  Jane (UCLA grad, lawyer,  tennis player, Valley girl).  She became both my wife and  law partner. During our 32 years together we have also been privileged to represent many of the suvivors and families of the Marines killed in the Beirut barracks bombing in a lawsuit against Iran.   We continue to practice law full time to this day.

We  have four grown children, three grandchildren and a siberian husky.

I am greatful for the life I have been able to live. I hope to practice law  for many years to come.   Though my colleagues all call me Ferris Bond, when someone calls and asks for Ridge Bond, I know it is an old  friend.

CHANHASSEN MN Retired Married 3
50 Years!   How could 50 years go by so quickly?

I have been married to my husband Doug for 46 years.  We have 3 children (2 sons and 1 daughter) who are all married, and 3 precious grandchildren (2 little girls, and 1 newborn grandson).

I retired after 35 years from Methodist Hospital.  My last 18 years there, I was the office coordinator for the Utilization Management group.  We lived in Eden Prairie for 36 years until Nov. 1, 2015 when we moved into a twin home in Chanhassen.  It was difficult selling our home after 36 years, But now no more yard work.

The past few years we have done quite a bit of traveling in the United States as well as International.  In July 2001, we went on a mission trip to Lima, Peru with the church we were attending.  We were there for 2 weeks, and it was a life changing experience.  I highly recommend doing a mission trip if you ever get the opportunity.  We also have done a 12 day tour of the country of Turkey which my husband helped lead.  We have been to Hawaii twice, to Banff and Lake Louise in Canada, done two European Viking River Cruises - one on the Danube River from Budapest, Hungary to Nuremberg, Germany. The other European River Cruise we did last October on the Rhine River from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzerland.   We also travel throughout Germany with another couple in September 2011.  We rented a car and my husband did the driving as he had been stationed in Germany for 3 years in the 60's.  We happened to be in Germany during Oktoberfest, so were able to attend that in Munich.

We are now snowbirds from January 1 - March 15 in Florida which we have done for the past 4 winters, and will continue to do as long as we can.  We also spend a lot of our summer at our lake cabin which we have had since 1981.   It was a great place for our kids to grow up at, and now get to have our grandchildren at the cabin.

I plan to attend the class reunion on Friday evening, and may also do the tour of the high school on Saturday.
