Minneapolis MN Semi-retired teacher Married 5
My husband, Art, and I have 5 children between us and 11 grandchildren.  Work is still meaningful and stimulating in education and ministry.  Kenya has stolen our heats in recent years and we have had several exciting working friendships there. Life is great when your grandchildren are impressed that you know the length of an elephant's trunk and the difference between a skateboard and a longboard!  Send Kathy a MessageSend Kathy a Message

Maple Plain MN Retired Married 5
Wow 50 years! How can that be?
I’ve been married for 44 years and have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. I am enjoying retirement, spending quite a bit of time playing guitar at various events, music festivals, jam sessions, and the occasional paying gig. We lived in the Lake Minnetonka area since we were married, mainly Minnetrista for 29 years, we now live in Maple Plain. I have been legally blind since 1995, use a white cane in public, but I am able to get along just fine with the help of my wonderful wife

Petaluma CA Retired Married 2
Hello Everybody.
Great memories of those breezy days in an awesome environment with super skilled teachers. We were sooo fortunate to be in that place at that time.
After twenty years of criss-crossing cities connecting with my best buddy's cousin, I finally met and married my charmed star, moral compass and oh-so-soulful mate Sandy - thirty blessed years and counting. Two cool kids, Tristan and Alexandra Blue, both keeping us as up to date as they possibly can, lol! We enjoy boating, beaching, skiing and I still get out the brushes once in a while.
We had a photography business for 25 years and got to do lots of fun things, hobnobbing with celebs and travelling a lot - 90s stint as Registered Representative (stockbroker), then finished up with fifteen years in commercial real estate.
Now we enjoy the fabulous Sonoma County Wine Country, surrounded by nature trails, on which to explore with my beloved 100 pound Boxer Max and our "inherited" kid's pals, Roo and Duke.
Hope you are all enjoying life with gratitude. Best to all.

Essex Junction VT Retired Government Affairs Professional Married
After high school, I went on to Wellesley College (where Hillary Clinton was in my dorm for 3 years) and majored in political science.  I subsequently earned Masters Degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration.  After working in local government for 7 years, I switched to the private sector where I had jobs in government relations, including as a lobbyist.

I have been married to my husband Richard Larsen for 45 years and have lived in Vermont for 42 years.  We were fortunate to be able to retire in 2004 and have spent time enjoying outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, kayaking, birdwatching) and traveling to various spots around the world.  My favorite recent trip was hiking with my husband in Southern Patagonia (both in Chile and Argentina).

Since I retired, I have been involved in a number of different boards.  I chaired the State of Vermont Community Development Board for 9 years and served for several years, including 1 year as chair, on the Catamount Trail Association (backcountry skiing) Board.  Currently I am on the Board of the Vermont Land Trust and the Executive Committee and Board of the Green Mountain Club (a Vermont-wide hiking organization).  In addition, I am active in a weekly women's hiking group, two book groups and an investment club, plus I spend a fair amount of time on photography.  Not much down time for me!

I feel really lucky to have landed where I am.  Life is good.

Boquete NOT IN US OR CANADA USAF, Retired Married
I was in the Air Force for 24 years stationed in Colorado, California, Ohio and the Pentagon. I flew the C-141 (a cargo airplane), was on the Joint Staff and worked developing software.

After retirement, I met Margie rafting through the Grand Canyon and we bought a sailboat.  After living onboard for 10 years, mostly in the Mediterranean, we have lived in Panama for the last 16 years.  Ten years of beaches was enough so we live in the mountains were it never gets hot or cold.  We work on our garden and help out with things around town.

Like Guy and Fred, I too have had a hip replacement.  I suspect there are many more of us.

We are looking forward to all the events.  I haven't been back to Minnesota since my grandparents died in the 80's.  It seems there have been some changes.

Minnetonka MN Retired Married 1
Because choir was mostly all girls, they told the couple guys to find another class.
Only class open was Printing. That started 47 years in the printing and graphics arts field.

My 4 years in the Navy gave me some unlikely opportunities. I spent 2 years in the California Mojave Desert, got to ride second seat in A7 fighters and ride one home for Christmas and did skydiving on weekends.

Since retirement I volunteer two days a week at an outreach center in Hopkins.
Three days I'm on call driving for a car dealer between auctions and the dealer, with some out of town trips.

At my wedding, my wife and I found out we had 22 mutual friends there.
