Shoreview MN CEO Old Dutch Foods Married 1
After graduation from HHS I received a BS in physics from the U of M. After working a few years I bought a sailboat in Connecticut and gradually sailed it down the east coast (in winter - which I wouldn't recommend). I spent the better part of two years on that boat, mostly in Florida and the Bahamas. That was my "retirement." In 1976 I moved to Boulder, Colorado where I received an MS in Mathematics from the University of Colorado. I stayed in the Boulder area for 9 years, working for Western Electric in control systems and Ball Corporation in a robotics R&D group. I was fortunate to be engaged in some very challenging projects and to work alongside some very gifted people. In 1985 I made the very difficult decision to come back to Minnesota to work in the family business, Old Dutch Foods, also fulfilling a lifelong dream to live on a lake (Lake Owasso in Shoreview). I met my beautiful wife Beverly shortly after returning (she was my date at the 20th). Our wonderful daughter came along in 1992. Being a husband and a father has been the most rewarding experience I can imagine having. I am grateful for all of the good fortune I've had and friends I've made through this journey.

Tallahassee FL Retired Married 1
50 years, who would have thought? After graduation, joined the Air Force. Spent time in Asia, left after 4 years. Graduated undergraduate from Hamline University, and Masters from University of Denver. Backpacked in Central and South America for couple of years in between.Have lived in Clorado, California, and Florida for the last 34 years, and married to my wife for 33 years. 2 grandkids that are busy.

My career was spent mostly in IT. Operated mainframes, sold computers, installed and maintained servers, routers, and switches in multiple locations in Florida. Now we spend time traveling, biking and bike tours, learning and enjoying life.
Hope that everyone has a great reunion.

Greetings to all 1966 Classmates! It's been so much fun to read about everyone, as well as sad for those we have lost too soon. Those graduation photos have frozen us all in time, even though it has flown by. So happy to see that we've turned out quite well!!

The last 50 years have proven to be an interesting journey, and I'm so grateful we got such a good education at HHS. My favorite decade was spent in NYC in the TV and radio field, where I also raised my son Nate, and met Steve VandeGriek, to whom I've been married almost 32 years. The NOW photo is with Nate and his love, Jamie.

For the past several years, I have returned to teaching English Language Arts and ESOL (in middle school, yikes!), and will retire as soon as I can figure out my next career, because I can't imagine retirement (we live in Florida and don't play golf:). Steve has been a writer since 1979, and I've been a photographer since 1981, when my parents gave me my first Nikon (some of you may remember my mom, Lois Behmer, who worked in the counselors' office). We travel as often as possible, and have done some articles (a few published), and hopefully that will be the future.

Since I'm back in school, I won't make the reunion next month. However, I heard a rumor from Linda Carson Smith that there may be a 70th Birthday Party reunion for us all in two years. I have not had a birthday party since about 1990, so that would be fun!

Kudos to the Reunion committee-you have done a wonderful job.

Leavenworth KS Married 3
Married my HS sweetheart (Ginny (Jeske)) the day after graduation from West Point.  By the time we get to the reunion, we will have been married 90 years (I’ve been married to her for 45 years, she’s been married to me for 45 years – do the math!)  Sorry couldn’t resist.
After 18 moves in 27.5 years in the Army, we finally settled down in Leavenworth , KS.  It’s much like MN, except the winters are 3 months shorter.  I finally gave up working full-time last year, but manage to keep busy with part-time work and an ever increasing “honey do” list.  Three children (I remember their names), 10 grandchildren (too many names – gave ‘em numbers).
Like Fred Busch, I had my hips replaced this last summer.  Can’t believe what a difference it’s made in my life – I can actually walk again.  If you’re thinking about doing the same – go for it, you’ll never regret it.
I finally joined the Catholic Church in 2000, and after 5 years of preparation, was ordained a Deacon in 2011.  Any spare time I thought I was going to have is now consumed.  I’m living proof of two things, “with God all things are possible,” and “God works in mysterious ways!”
Looking forward to the reunion and hope we are all blessed with safe travels.
P.S.  I hope the name tags are in LARGE PRINT!
